agenda 2024

tue 23 jan.

> extra muros

The title of the conference, although slightly provocative, actually expresses a deep desire for a different perspective, an alternative vision and a renewed love for ceramics, far from the beaten track.

Johan Creten has long been recognised as a pioneer in the reinvention of ceramics in the contemporary art world, breaking away from the limitations and prejudices of a self-centred ceramic universe. His work, which is both socially committed and radically innovative, can now be found in the prestigious collections of the Centre Pompidou, the Musée d'Art Moderne and the Basque Museum, among others. He will talk about his journey away from the ghetto and answer questions.
